Science Enrichment Day!

In years 2 and 3, we worked in groups to investigate friction, electricity, magnets and forces.

Science Enrichment Day

Awe and Wonder was our focus today! We made cornflour slime, bubble paintings, lemon volcanoes and fireworks in a jar. Lots of scientific learning and great fun!

Safer Internet Day 2023

Following the reading of ‘Hanni’s Magic Window’ we played a board game that reinforced who to and how to ask for help. We also used the ‘Like Ladder’ to order the online activities from our favourite to least favourite.

Some of the year 5 and 6 children have been making the most of the nice weather and have been helping to dig steps out on the field.

Life in 1940s!!!

We had a special visit from Julie and Laura from Knighton Museum. They bought a variety of artefacts from the 1940โ€™s for the children to look at. The children had great fun, and it reminded them of what life used to be like years ago.

UK Parliament Assembly

We were visited by Claire Dare this afternoon. She came in to tell us about how parliament works and we even had a go at passing a law of our own! It was great fun and we were able to learn a lot.

Safer Internet Day 2023!

Year 2 / Dosbarth Gwennol

We celebrated Safer Internet Day by all attending a special assembly led by Mrs Blower. She explained to us the importance of talking about what we do online in order to stay safe.

We identified and gave examples of personal details.  We discussed and sorted details that should be kept private and offline and details that are safe to share online.

We discussed who we could trust if something happened that made us feel sad, worried, uncomfortable or frightened online. We drew pictures of our trusted adults.

We described how we should behave online and in pairs we wrote recipes to help create a kinder internet

Space

We are exploring space. We were able to talk to the space rocket.

A Step back in time!

Children were visited by Julie and Laura from Knighton Museum. They bought a variety of artefacts from the 1940’s for the children to look at and handle.
