Christmas Dinner Day- Thursday 19th December!
Christmas Fayre 2024
The children thoroughly enjoyed designing and making a variety of items to sell at our Christmas Fayre this year. They carefully sourced materials and looked at profit margins to make sure that they did not make a loss! The Fayre was supported brilliantly by families and our community and we managed to make £953.20. Bendigedig pawb! What a fantastic event!
Father Christmas paid a visit and was very impressed with his ‘Narnia’ grotto, through the wardrobe!
Christmas Party / Parti Nadolig!
We are having a lovely Christmas Party Day! We have danced our shoes off this morning, played musical statues and musical bumps, played pass the parcel and had some treats. When we got back to class, we had a very friendly visitor there… it was FATHER CHRISTMAS!!
Enillwyr Tocynnau Cymraeg
Congratulations to our Welsh badge winners last week. You have been using lots of incidental Welsh inside and outside of the classroom. Bendigedig pawb!!
The Welsh Whisperer\Y Sibrwd Cymraeg
The Welsh Whisperer visited Dosbarth Hwyaid Bach, Eryr and Jac-y-Do yesterday to compose a Christmas Song of our very own. We worked within our classes in the morning to compose the lyrics for the song and then all came together in the afternoon to perform the song to the rest of the school. The children agreed that our Christmas Song was a hit and we are all very proud of ourselves of how well it went!!
The Welsh Whisperer then let us party alongside him with him playing a selection of his very own songs. We loved this too, and as you can see from the photos, we all had an amazing time!!

Christingle Creating
We have been busy bees learning about the importance of a Christingle and then made our very own.

We loved helping the Welsh Whisperer compose a Christmas song and are looking forward to performing it in the hall this afternoon for the rest of the school!
Human Rights Day - Article 2
Article 2 – All children have these rights, no matter who they are or what they look like.
We listened to the story ‘It’s ok to be different’, and discussed why it is ok to be different. Here are some of the children’s contributions;
“We have different colour skin and that is ok.”
“You might want to speak in a different language.”
“It doesn’t matter where you live. You can live in different places and still be friends.”
“My mummy has curly hair and I don’t, and that is ok.”
“Teasing is not kind, because children will feel sad if you tease them.”
“My mummy is different to me because she has dark hair and I have light hair.”
After our discussion, we played a game of ‘switch places if you ……’ where the children swapped places with another child if they answered yes to the question/statement.
