We have working in our groups to make some healthy snacks and we were able to explain why they were good for our body. The children enjoyed trying some new foods and practising their chopping and slicing skills.

In our Jigsaw sessions we have been learning how medicines work in our body and how it is important that we use them safely.
NEVER take anyone else’s medicine.
Keep medicine out of the reach of children.
ONLY take medicine that an adult you trust gives you.
ONLY take the dosage on the label.

This week we said farewell to Rob and Jim from Powys Road Safety Team who have been helping us to stay safe when we are crossing the road. Thank you so much to Sue Davies and Jess Price for giving up their time to support our students.
World Book Day Fun
Coding Club Support Pre-School with new Coding Equipment
Year One Coding Club had a great time in pre-school teaching the children how to use their new codable mouse. Bendigedig Pawb!
Forest School
We had a fabulous Forest School session playing lots of recall games to develop our listening skills and the children thought of lots of interesting rules for our Forest School to ensure that we stay safe and have lots of fun!

We used a Timber Hitch knot and Taut-line Hitch knot to tie the rope to the tree (using instructions to help us!). Some pupils used a knife to make our own tent pegs, and others then built the shelter! Great team-work! Given the weather we needed the shelter and out waterproofs, not that the pupils cared- as demonstrated by their faces at the end of the session!
RE-Hot Cross Buns
We enjoyed following a recipe to make Hot Cross Buns. We discussed the symbol of the cross and why we eat Hot Cross Buns at Easter.
