The children thoroughly enjoyed designing and making a variety of items to sell at our Christmas Fayre this year. They carefully sourced materials and looked at profit margins to make sure that they did not make a loss! The Fayre was supported brilliantly by families and our community and we managed to make £953.20. Bendigedig pawb! What a fantastic event!
Father Christmas paid a visit and was very impressed with his ‘Narnia’ grotto, through the wardrobe!
We had a super Science and Technology day using LEGO to build our rollercoasters. First of all, we used the LEGO to build our track and then we tested our rollercoaster from the launcher to see if it would stay on the track.
We then used LEGO We do to program a sensor which had a windmill attached to it. We put our sensor next to the track and every time the rollercoaster went past the sensor, the windmill would spin.
We have been busy bees learning about the importance of a Christingle and then made our very own.
We have all made a Christingle before our Christingle service tomorrow.
We loved helping the Welsh Whisperer compose a Christmas song and are looking forward to performing it in the hall this afternoon for the rest of the school!
After several weeks of researching, designing and trialing, we finally completed our rollercoaster models to take to Knighton town council!
We measured Brynny in November to to see if the space would be suitable for us to build our rollercoaster on. We used trundle wheels to measure the area and perimeter.
Well done for all of the children for working so hard on their table centrepieces and their Christmas Eve plates. This week we have been busy making our rollercoasters. Its was really tricky to build and make the curves and the loops, but we persevered and Knighton Town Council were really pleased with our prototypes.
We’ve been very busy learning all about the human rights! To help us, we created a human rights rap and made some human rights mini displays.
