Cluster Digital Morning at John Beddoes

Thank you to our Year Six representatives that visited John Beddoes to demonstrate how to use the drones from our cluster coding kit, while learning how to use the other pieces of coding equipment. You were stars!

PobUrdd a CogUrdd

Today some of our Urdd members took part in a cooking and baking competition! The smells were mouth-watering and their skills really impressed us! Da iawn chi!

Shwmae Day

As part of Shwmae day, Aderyn du took part in a live Teams Giglets story telling session. They were read the story ‘Gelerts Grave’ and learnt new Welsh words related to the story such as ‘blaidd’ which means wolf, ‘dewr’ brave and ‘awrw’ which means hero. We enjoyed the session and enjoyed listening to the story with other schools all over Wales!

Making ten

In maths we have been making ten and trying really hard to learn these really important number bonds to ten.

Drones

Now that the skyscrapers have been built and organised appropriately, we have been practising the drones and taking a tour around the world. Some skyscrapers have been knocked down in the process, and drones have become stuck in many places!
We are looking forward to working with other schools in the cluster to help them better understand how to use drones, and we are looking forward to being shown how to use other digital kits.

Dewis eich plot

We thought about where in Knighton would be a good place to build a rollercoaster. We looked at maps and discussed some of the features in different locations.

Some rollercoasters have to fit in between other rides at the theme park and some are build around things that can’t be moved.

Croeso i deulu!

Today it was our class assembly. The pupils presented their learning as if they were travel agents and presented information about different skyscrapers from all over the world. After the assembly we welcomed families into our classroom to share more of our work from the term.

Enillwyr Tocynnau Cymraeg

Congratulations to our Welsh badge winners this week. You have been using lots of incidental Welsh inside and outside of the classroom. Bendigedig pawb!!

Health and Wellbeing-Feeling Proud

In Jigsaw today Year One discussed what makes us happy in our learning. We thought about what it means to feel proud and Mrs Blower gave us a special ticket, with one reason for feeling proud of us. It made us feel happy!
